Soquel Volleyball Finishes in Top Four in State

The Knights had their best season since 1992.

Nearly two decades after finishing in the top four in the state in 1992, the Soquel volleyball team was poised to take a crack at its best season ever this week.

Having traveled 200 miles to meet Union Mine on Tuesday in El Dorado, the Knights needed one more win to vie for the state championship. Unfortunately, there was little dorado about the trip. After losing 25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 25-12, Soquel's season was over.

But as disappointing as the loss was, a top four finish in California along with a 34-6 overall record is nothing but impressive.
