Opal Cliffs School Ribbon Cutting Set for Sept. 12

The long-awaited Jade Street school is finally opening.

After years of debate and false starts, Opal Cliffs School is a reality.

Located at Jade Street Park, the school will serve preschoolers and kindergarteners — about 80 total students.

Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. will mark the ribbon cutting ceremony for shool held by the Soquel Union Elementary School District Board of Trustees.

Along with the Board, representatives from Campus Kids Connection will host the ribbon cutting. Also on hand will be Weston Miles Construction (the designers of the building) and Pencon Construction.

"You will be wowed by the architectural beauty and the child center design that engulfs our new school site," the school district said in a prepared statement.
