City Council Preview: Bob Begun to Be Honored

The council will cover issues from sandwich boards to the proposed skate park at Thursday's meeting dedicated to Bob Begun.

After the first Capitola City Council meeting of the month was due to lack of available personnel, the council will meet for the first and only time in November on Tuesday evening (two days early due to the Thanksgiving holiday).

1. The event will be dedicated to former mayor and Patch blogger Bob Begun, who . 
2. On the consent calendar, the council is expected to approve the chamber of commerce's request to increase parking limits in the Village from two to three hours from Thanksgiving through Christmas. 
3. The Community Development Department will make presentations in three separate public hearings, including one on the possible permission of sandwich board signs in Capitola.
4. The council will receive a report on the next steps for a skate park and will work on a plan to move forward.
5. The council will accept the resignation of Capitola Redevelopment Agency Treasurer Debbie Johnson and appoint City Manager Jamie Goldstein as her interim replacement.
