It makes me so sad that being on the City Council is such a thankless job, or that more people don't take an interest in their beautiful city, that all we have to look forward to is another term with Dennis Norton. The same people keep playing the same musical chairs. Capitola needs some new blood.

You are absolutely right, but would YOU want to do it??!! Me neither. I was on a Homeowner's association as a Board member and that was tiring enough, dealing with disagreeable neighbors that come out of the woodwork. City Council has to be that kind of headache tenfold. Even though I may disagree with some of the Council members, they have my respect for putting themselves out there for the public to ridicule.

I agree with your statement. This is certainly a sad slate of three candidates for two seats.
