Possession of Controlled Substance/Paraphernalia: A female was arrested on the 1000 block of 38th Avenue at 11:13 p.m.

Petty Theft: 1800 block, 41st Avenue, 6:38 p.m.

Sept. 3:

Challenging a Fight in Public: Esplanade, 12:29 a.m.

Minor Purchasing Tobacco: 1800 block, 41st Avenue, 2:43 p.m.

Petty theft/possession of controlled substance/paraphernalia: A male was arrested after he was accused of shoplifting on the 1400 block of 41st Avenue at 3:23 p.m.

Burglary/Petty Theft with prior jail term for theft/burglary/robbery/felony committed while released on bail: A subject was arrested on the 1400 block of 41st Avenue at 6:58 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A male was arrested on the 1800 block of 41st Avenue at 8:07 p.m.

Sept. 2:

Battery on Cohabitant: After dating for approximately three years, a Soquel couple broke up, and the woman moved her belonging out of the house. She then returned to the Cory Street residence and reportedly pushed the man several times in the chest, causing him to fall. She was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department. 

Grand Theft (money/labor/property, over $950): A vehicle was burglarized at El Salto Drive and Central Avenue at 10:08 a.m.

Petty Theft: 1400 block, 41st Avenue, 5:13 p.m.

Sept. 1:

Public Intoxication: Two males were arrested at Capitola Road and 41st Avenue at 2:08 a.m.

Grand Theft (money/labor/property, over $950): A vehicle was burglarized on the 900 block of Balboa Avenue at 10:41 a.m.

DUI/Willful Cruelty to Child: Monterey Avenue and Kennedy Drive, 3:58 p.m.

Petty Theft: Two under-age females were cited on the 4000 block of Capitola Road at 6:49 p.m.

Possession of Controlled Substance/Paraphernalia/False Identification to police officer: 800 block, Bay Avenue, 10:47 p.m. 

Possession of Controlled Substance: Lillian D. Mazon, 19, of Capitola, was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department.

Aug. 31:

Hit and Run with Property Damage: An unknown suspect hit a vehicle on the 800 block of Bay Avenue and left the area without leaving a note at 5:30 p.m.

Petty Theft: 4000 block, Capitola Road, 8:40 p.m.

Arson/Resisting Arrest: A male was arrested at 47th Avenue and Portola Road at 10:44 p.m.

Reckless Driving: David R. Levy, 23, of Soquel, was arrested by Santa Cruz California Highway Patrol.

DUI: Karen E. Egan, 62, of Soquel, was arrested by Santa Cruz CHP.

Aug. 30:

Petty Theft: A vehicle was burglarized on the 900 block of Capitola Avenue at 8:36 a.m.

Vandalism: 1400 block, 41st Avenue, 9:03 a.m.

Grand Theft (Money/Labor/Property, over $950): 1200 block, 41st Avenue, 2:49 p.m.

Hit and Run with Property Damage: Stockton Avenue and Capitola Avenue, 2:49 p.m.

Vandalism: A vehicle was vandalized on the 1500 block of 42nd Avenue at 6:20 p.m.

Battery: A male beat another male on the 200 block of San Jose Avenue at 9:12 p.m.

Possession of Narcotics/Possession of Hypodermic Needle: After a collision near the Capitola Mall, a woman was arrested on suspicion of drug possession at 3:56 p.m.

Under the Influence of Controlled Substance: Gabe A. Harris, 37, of Soquel, was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department.

Aug. 29:

Vandalism: 1300 block, 41st Avenue, 4:48 a.m.

Vandalism: 1400 block, 41st Avenue, 4:55 a.m.

Vandalism: 1500 block 41st Avenue, 9:01 a.m.

Petty Theft: 1000 block, 38th Avenue, 12:35 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A male was arrested at 42nd Avenue and Clares Street at 9:18 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A male was arrested on the 1400 block of 41st Avenue at 11:42 p.m.

Burglary: A business on the 800 block of Bay Avenue was reported to be burglarized at 9:10 p.m.
