Local Man Booked for Armed Robbery

Parolee Franky Vultaggio was booked into county jail today.

Nearly two weeks after a 42-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint on the 3000 block of Roland Drive, local man Franky Vultaggio, 20, was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on Friday.

The woman had reported that her purse was stolen on the evening of April 9.

The next day, Santa Cruz sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Baldrige and state parole agents searched Vultaggio's home, just a block from the scene of the crime. They recovered items that had been reported stolen and drug paraphernalia.
