Dean Brown: Services were held in Capitola. He was on the swim team at Soquel High School in the late 70s and early 80s. Died suddenly of a heart attack on Sept. 28. He was 50.

Catherine Ferraro: Lived the end of her life at Capitola Manor. She worked many years as the municipal court clerk in San Mateo County. Passed away Sept. 25. She was 93.

Rubin Grazian: Owned Dairy Queen in Capitola. He had 11 great grandchildren. Passed away Oct. 5. He was 88. 

Catherine Lisdero: Resident of Capitola. She was a huge Giants and 49ers fan and volunteered at the senior center. Passed away Sept. 27. She was 88.

Salle' Saunders: Resident of Capitola. She loved to entertain and travel. Passed away Sept. 29. She was 89.

Robert Bourriague: Graduated from Soquel High School in 1965. He was a talented craftsman and chef. Passed away Oct. 9. He was 64.

Eugenio DiTano: Volunteered on Soquel. Helped raise money for the Soquel High band. Loved the 49ers. Passed away Sept. 29. He was 84. 

James Gibson Barton: Resident of Aptos. Served in Vietnam in 1968. Passed away Sept. 21. He was 66. 

Richard Rhodes Powers: Had family in Aptos. Passed away Sept. 28. He was 56. 

Elizabeth Prince: Resident of Aptos. As a child, she completed two grades of schol in one year and was especially skilled in math. Passed away Sept. 23. She was 96. 

Bert Rettner: Former resident of Aptos. Played trumpet in a group called Take Two. Passed away Sept. 23. He was 83. 

Betty Richman: Long-time member of Temple Beth El Jewish Community Center in Aptos. She was married for 70 years. Passed away Sept. 25. She was 91. 

Helen Eleanor Rodriguez: Resident of Aptos. She worked at UCSC, preparing breakfast and lunch at Cowell-Stevenson College. Passed away Oct. 2. She was 91.
