Santa Cruz Restaurant Week to Feature Three Capitola-Soquel-Aptos Restaurants

Restaurant Week starts Oct. 5 in Santa Cruz County.

Twenty-five dollars might sound expensive for a one-person dinner, but when you consider the possibility of a multi-course meal at some of the best places that the county has to offer, that's what you call a deal. Actually, that's what you call Santa Cruz Restaurant Week. 

From Oct. 5-12, 24 restaurants from Davenport to Aptos will show off their fare with three-course prix fixe menus demonstrating the highlights of their offerings from appetizers to entrees to desserts. At least three options per course will be provided at each restaurant.

This third annual Santa Cruz Restaurant Week features three eateries from the Capitola-Soquel-Aptos area. See their menu choices below:

1. 
Appetizers: New England Clam Chowder, Green Salad/Caesar Salad, Fried Calamari
Entrees: Cioppino, Grilled Bistro Fillet, Southwest Chicken Penne
Desserts: Warm Apple Crisp, SBG Brownie, Cheesecake

2. (Soquel)
Appetizers: House Salad, Soup of the Day, Hot Artichoke Dip
Entrees: Pistachio Crusted Salmon, Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak, Spinach and Artichoke Ravioli
Desserts: Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee, Late Harvest Cheesecake, Mom's Brownie Sundae

3. Sanderlings (Aptos)
Appetizers: Seascape Clam Chowder, Calamari and French Fries, Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, Arugula and Endive with Balsamic Vinaigrette
Entrees: Rosemary Garlic Roasted Chicken, Rib Eye with Veal Demi Glace, Salmon Seared and Oven Finished
Desserts: Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee, Brownie Sundae, Raspberry Cheesecake

Last year, Main Street Garden Cafe in Soquel took part in the week-long event. In 2009, and the now-defunct Bluewater were among the participants in the affair's inaugural year.
