The reusable nylon bags, imprinted with a medication checklist, were filled with shelf-stable and canned food items, a File of Life, a 211 bookmark, and a Grey Bears stainless steel water bottle. The four nonprofit agencies that collaborated on the kits were Meals on Wheels, California Grey Bears, Seniors Council, and Senior Network Services. The bags were assembled by Wells Fargo Bank employees.

For 39 years Grey Bears has served seniors and the community through the brown bag program, delivering nurtritious groceries to 4,000 Santa Cruz County seniors every week; operating two recycling centers, a thrift store, a computer store and providing valuable opportunites for 500 weekly volunteers.
