Earthquake Recap: Three Shakes in County Vicinity

There were three earthquakes in and around Santa Cruz County this week.

Three earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale in and around Santa Cruz County this week, with the largest measured at a feel-able 2.9.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, no one reported feeling any of the three earthquakes in Santa Cruz County this week on the U.S. Geological Survey website. However, at 2.9, the Friday earthquake was surely felt by plenty of residents.
