Join the Blog Team on Capitola-Soquel Patch

Capitola-Soquel Patch has plenty of room for local bloggers on the site, and we're hoping you'll join in and add your voice and perspective on what it's like to live in our city.

Our current bloggers are discovering the community, former councilmembers, businesses owners and high school students. For a taste of what we're talking about, check out some of the folks who are already contributing to our Local Voices feature. (And thanks to Cheri, Ian, Bob, etc., who have done a great job so far!)

But now we're looking for some others to join them, people who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage our readers in discussions:

• Have something to say about yourself and our community?
• Do you have strong opinions about local government?
• Can you just make us all laugh?
• Can you write compellingly?

Then, we want to hear from you.

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your own blogs if you like. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.

Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.
