Paul Ryan Calls Rape 'Method of Conception' — Your Thoughts?

Mitt Romney's running mate made this reference. Was it revealing? Or is it not a big deal?

In an interview last week, Paul Ryan, who would be the Vice President of the United States should Mitt Romney win the election in November, made his pro-life views clear.

In doing so, he said the following:

"I've always adopted the idea and conception that the method of conception doesn't change the definition of life."

Following Senator Todd Akin's blunder last week, when he announced that the female body can reject a pregnancy in cases of "legitimate rape," this marks two comments from the Republican Party in a short span that can be interpreted as downplaying the severity of rape.
