My volunteer efforts for Capitola began when Gayle Ortiz appointed me to the Capitola Finance Advisory Committee in 2000. The treasurer decided not to run in November 2000 and I was elected Treasurer of Capitola. I ran for council in 2002 and was defeated by one vote by Mayor Norton. Re-elected without opposition in 2004 and elected to the council in 2006. Appointed to the Finance Committee by Mayor Norton and was elected Chair of the c0mmittee by its members.

Retired Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering specializing in control systems with a California Professional Engineers License. Financial background. Tresaurer of IEEE Technical Activities Board.

Widower with two daughters,two granddaughters and a great grandson. Fish (65# lake trout and 30# northern pike) and play bridge and poker.
