Monday Heat Could Break All-Time Records

Temperatures could hit the high 80s today, which would be a record for June 11.

Mild Central Coast temperatures will return later this week, but for now, the heat is upon us.

Sunday's local high of 89 degrees was four degrees below the all-time high for June 10, which according to Intellicast, was recorded in 1979 when the day hit a scorching 93.

Forecasts for June 11 show a huge range of predicted highs, from as low as 77 (Weatherbug) to as high as 88 (KSBW). Should the heat reach that high, it would easily beat the all-time local temperature record for June 11, which was set in 1965 at 85 degrees.
