Begonia Festival Turns 60 This Weekend

Capitola's busiest weekend should be a great one as the famed Begonia Festival returns.

Over the last 60 years, so much has changed in Capitola. Buildings in the Village have been updated, flooded and updated again. Across town, 41st Avenue has become one of the busiest commerce havens in the county. We even have our very own farmers market.

One thing that has remained static (other than that pesky Rispin Mansion) is the Begonia Festival.

The weekend-long celebration of all things Capitola and begonias takes the whole year to plan, and starting Saturday, the mid-county mainstay is back for its three-and-a-half-day romp. See the schedule of events below.
