Soquel Top Students and Athletes Named

Find out who hit it big with academic and athletic awards at Soquel High this spring.

With Soquel High School's 2012 graduation day upon us, it is appropriate to recognize the students who received top honors both in the classroom and on the playing field. See the full list, as provided by the Soquel High Fund, below.

Class of 2012 Top Scholars: 

Valedictorians: Leia Alex, Regine Graves, Gabrielle Kamalani, Bianca Martinez, Jisoo Rim, John Tobin, and Meghan Warner

Soquel's Top Athletes of Spring 2012:

Lacrosse: First team: Zach Anderson and Tanner Mihelic. Second team: Keith Wellstone and Eric Segura. 

Baseball: Nat Hamby, pitcher first team. Tyler Silva, catcher second team. Chris Viall, pitcher second team. Caleb Fidiam and Scotty Akrop, infielders second team. Andrew Schmidt, outfielder second team.

Boys' Track: Isaac Gettleman, second place 400m. John Tobin, second place high jump.

Girls' track: Kendall Bonsall, first place 4x100 relay, first place 100m and second place 200m. Madeline Diaz, first place 200m. Hailey Fish, first place pole vault. Natalie Diaz, second place high jump.

Boys' Volleyball: Graham Denevan, first team outside hitter, Alex Shearer, second team middle blocker, Sam Walters, second team outside hitter.

Boys' golf: Kyle Graff and Neddie Gleitsman.
