Main Street School Nabs New Principal

Annette Bitter will head the administration next year.

At a Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, July 18, the Board of Trustees appointed Annette Bitter as the new Principal of in the Soquel Union Elementary School District. Bitter will replace Craig Broadhurst who accepted the l. 

Bitter comes to us from the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District where she has been the Principal of Los Arboles Middle School for the past year. Prior to that, she was the Principal of Cole Elementary School in the Clovis Unified School District for five years.

She will join the administrative team in the Soquel School District as an experienced principal with an impressive track record in creating outstanding learning environments for all children. In working with her previous staffs, she was able to provide a comprehensive collaborative style that enabled her school sites to be effective in educating at-risk students.

"I’m ecstatic to be joining Main Street Elementary School and look forward to working with its dedicated staff, parents, and students," Bitter said. "Main Street has an outstanding reputation, and I feel fortunate to be part of such a great team."
