City Council Meeting
The City of Capitola City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Meetings are broadcast live on Community Television Cable 8. The City Council is composed of four Council Members and the Mayor, all of whom are directly elected by the people. The purpose of the City Council is to establish local laws, to set policy, to reject or to approve programs, to allocate funds and provide direction, through the City Manager, to City staff to implement its policy. The Council can also appoint members to various local and regional committees, commissions and other boards.
