City Council Preview: Police to Present Report on Village Skateboarding

Take a sneak peek at Thursday's Capitola City Council meeting.

From the looks of the agenda, Thursday's meeting of the Capitola City Council could be short and sweet. With no public hearings scheduled, there's a shot that council members, residents and reporters alike will be home by 10 p.m.

Here are some of the expected highlights from the meeting:

  • Bruce Arthur, president of the Capitola Public Safety & Community Service Foundation, will present the group's recent activities and accomplishments to the council.
  • On the consent calendar, the council is expected to approve further work on the Rispin property and to adopt a resolution allocating $25,000 toward tree removal and replacement on Monterey Avenue, Lawn Way and at City Hall.
  • As a reaction to , the Capitola Police Department will present a report on skateboarding and bicycling in Capitola Village.
