Capitola City Council Preview: Parking Garage, Rispin Mansion Plans on the Agenda

This week's City Council agenda covers the same issues that have come up in the city for months.

Thursday's meeting of the Capitola City Council will be the first of the month, and it is set to cover some of the same issues we have heard debated over the last few months, including the state of Rispin Mansion and a potential parking garage. 

Here are five of the biggest issues being addressed:

  • While it's not on the agenda, expect the public comment section to include conversation pertaining to the Village's skateboard laws, considering the .
  • On the Consent Calendar, the council is expected to approve a contract between the city manager and Desmond Marcello & Amster for $18,000, to prepare appraisals for the closure of Pacific Cove Mobile Home Park.
  • The Community Development and Public Works Department will make a presentation in a public hearing pertaining to the future of Rispin Mansion.
  • The council will accept a report on a potential financing plan for the .
  • The council will consider establishing a four-hour parking limit on 40th Avenue between Clares Street and Deanes Lane.
