Old San Jose Road -- at Olive Springs Road -- in Soquel was just reopened late Saturday afternoon, following an injury crash that sent a vehicle some 100 feet down an embankment and shut down the road for hours.
The crash was reported at 11:22 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters had to rappel down an 80-degree grade to get to the vehicle after two people were taken to area hospitals, the CHP reported.
A condition report was not available Saturday afternoon.
The road was closed from about 11:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., the CHP reported.
