Transient From Florida Arrested For Sexual Assault of A Juvenile
Capitola Police arrest a man for sexual assault to a minor juvenile in front of Orchard Supply on 41st Avenue on Friday night.
Capitola Officers were dispatched to the Capitola Mall on Friday just before 7:30 p.m. about a possible sexual assault to a minor juvenile, according to Sgt. Mark Gonzalez.
Officers learned that Farris Kaloti, 23, from Florida sexually assaulted a juvenile female in front of the Orchard Supply Hardware store on 41st Avenue.

After the assault, Kaloti followed the victim to the Capitola Mall where Capitola Mall Security attempted to apprehend him. Kaloti left the mall on foot and police were notified, also according to Sgt. Gonzalez.
An immediate search of the area began by Capitola Police Officers and Sheriff Deputies. Capitola Police officer Chris Thompson searched the Fast Eddy’s Pool Hall nearby and located Kaloti.

Kaloti resisted arrest but officer Thompson was able to take him into custody. After the investigation was complete, Kaloti was arrested for felony sexual assault and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
