Three Cars Collide on 41st Avenue in Capitola
No one was seriously injured, but a passenger was taken to Dominican Hospital for a pain complaint.
A traffic accident involving three cars and several parked vehicles occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday, on the ocean-bound side of 41st Avenue near the intersection of Jade Street.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Samms, a Volvo pulled out in front of traffic and caused a Toyota Sequoia to swerve and hit a Honda Fit and then flip over. Some parked cars also got hit as a result of the accident.
A passenger riding in the Sequoia was transported to Dominican Hospital complaining of pain, although Samms reported no visible injuries. No other injuries were reported.

“It's pretty unusual to have a vehicle flip over on 41st," Samms said. “It could have been a lot worse, all things considered.”
The incident is not under criminal investigation, although there is an investigation into a possible role an "uneven pavement" sign may have played in causing the accident.
