Soquel Gas Station Robbed of $451 at Gunpoint

Three men robbed Quik Stop on Saturday evening and a connection to Sunday's armed robbery in Corralitos is being investigated.

While bars and house parties were filled with costumed pre-Halloween celebrators on Saturday evening, there was nothing pretend about the three gun-toting men that robbed the on Soquel Drive at 7:29.

"Two of the suspects were armed with handguns and pointed them at the clerk and demanded money," Sheriff's Deputy April Skalland told Capitola-Soquel Patch.

The men were all described as Hispanic and between the ages of 20 and 25. One of them was wearing a red flannel long-sleeve shirt and held a black revolver. The second suspect had a black semi-automatic handgun and wore a black sweatshirt. The third had a black sweatshirt and black hat, and it is unknown if he also had a weapon, Skalland said.

The men made off with $451 dollars. 

Detectives are investigating if the Quik Stop robbery is in any way connected to the .

"There are still loose ends to tie up with that," Skalland said. "There are witnesses that need to do photo line-ups."

For comparison to the Saturday robbery, detectives will "get video footage, go through and see if there are similarities," Skalland said.
