Shooting Victim Autopsy Performed, Investigation Continues
No arrests have been made in relation to the fatal shooting of Jeff Smith on Soquel.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the Thursday .
Smith, 28 of Soquel, was of the house at 383 Nicasio Way, which belongs to the family of his widow, Amanda Fox Sloan-Smith. Together, Amanda and Smith had an infant son.
An autopsy on Smith's body was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sheriff's Deputy April Skalland told Patch.

Although no arrests have been made and the gun used to has not been located, Skalland said several search warrants were served on Thursday.
