The Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department is on the hunt for a man accused of grabbing a girl on her way to school Monday morning.

At 8:15 a.m., the 15-year-old was walking at Capitola Road and 17th Avenue in Live Oak on her way to Harbor High School, when according to the Sheriff's Office, a male jumped out of a rusty red two-door pick up Ford, grabbed her and held on while speaking in Spanish.

Although the girl could not understand the man, she was able to break free, and told authorities that she saw the truck continue to follow her all the way to school.
