Police Chase Man Who Drove Wrong Way On Highway 17, Jumped From SUV
The suspect bailed from the vehicle at Glen Canyon Road and jumped a fence into heavy brush, where he escaped from authorities.
Police from several local jurisdictions continue to search for a man that led them on a chase from Capitola to Scotts Valley early Monday morning.
According to local news reports, an attempt failed about midnight to stop the man driving an SUV near Capitola, and the suspect fled from authorities, northbound on Highway 1, then onto northbound Highway 17.
Capitola Police Sgt. Matt Eller tells the Santa Cruz Sentinel the man bailed from the vehicle at Glen Canyon Road and jumped a fence into heavy brush.
