Police Blotter: Shoplifting to Pet Store Embezzlement, Drugs and Weapons Possession

March 17:

Petty theft: 4000 block, Capitola Road, 3:47 p.m.

Petty theft: 1800 block, 41st Avenue, 8:08 p.m.

Petty theft: 200 block, Washburn Avenue, 2:35 p.m.

Burglary: 800 block, Bay Avenue, 6:57 p.m.

March 14:

Weapons Possession: William McKeen Veyl was arrested at 9:12 a.m. after a parole search on the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue, Capitola. Deputies found a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol, magazine and ammunition.

Petty Theft: 4000 block, Capitola Road, 1:52 p.m.

Petty Theft: Shoplifting arrest at Sears, 4000 block, Capitola Road, 2:17 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: Male arrested on Bay Avenue after hitting a 1997 Lexus, 8:21 p.m.

March 13:

Theft: Missing license plate, 1700 block, 41st Avenue, 8:06 a.m.

Embezzlement: Employee cited at pet store for stealing items for resale, 1500 block of 41st Avenue, 10:15 a.m.

Possession of Controlled Substance: Anthony Taylor Stull was arrested at 12:36 p.m. after deputies searched his home on the 3500 block of Thurber Lane in Soquel and found heroin, a hypodermic needle and pills without a prescription. Stull, who is on probation, was suspected of being under the influence of an opiate.

Drunk in Public: Restaurant patron examined by nurse, 1600 block, 41st Avenue, 1:10 p.m.

Fraud/Forged Document: Use of credit card, 4700 block, Garnet Street, 1:53 p.m.

Petty Theft: Shoplifting arrest at Rite Aid, 1400 block, 41st Avenue, 3:04 p.m.

March 12: 

Vandalism: Graffiti, 3500 block, Clares Street, 9:08 a.m.

Burglary: Mailbox tampering, 800 block, Park Avenue, 9:12 a.m.
