Police Blotter: Too Many Drunks in Public

July 31:

Drunk in Public: Ryan Christopher Schnittger was arrested for running through Soquel backyards, screaming and trying to break into homes. Police found him at Encino Drive and Bonita Road at 12 a.m.

DUI: 4700 block, Nova Avenue, 1:08 a.m.

Drunk in Public: Two females were arrested on the 1400 block of Wharf Road at 7:16 p.m.

July 30:

Vandalism under $1000: A male was arrested on the 4600 block of Clares Street at 1:49 a.m.

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested at 49th and Prospect at 2:16 a.m.

Petty Theft: A car cover was reported stolen from the 400 block of Riverview Drive at 11:02 a.m.

Vehicle Theft: A car was reported stolen from the 700 block of El Salto Drive at 11:55 a.m.

Petty Theft: 200 block, Central Avenue, 6:02 p.m.

July 29:

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested on the 3700 block of Gross Road at 1:48 a.m.

Possession of Controlled Substance/Possession of Controlled Substance Paraphernalia: 1200 block, 41st Avenue, 2:20 p.m.

Petty Theft: 4000 block, Capitola Road, 5:10 p.m.

July 28:

Vehicle Burglary: 1800 block, Wharf Road, 7:01 a.m.

Possession of Controlled Substance/Possession of Controlled Substance Paraphernalia: A male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on the 1000 block of 38th Avenue at 9:39 p.m.

Drunk in Public: 700 block, Bay Avenue, 11:24 p.m. 

Battery on Cohabitant: Roxanne L. Medina, 20, of Soquel, was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department. 

Battery on Cohabitant: Cassee M. McGann, 20, of Soquel, was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department. 

Petty Theft: 1400 block, Ruby Court, 9 p.m.

July 27: 

Vandalism under $1000: 4600 block, Capitola Road, 8 p.m.

Battery: Arthur S. Magmillan, 51, of Soquel, was arrested by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department. 

Petty Theft: 1100 block, 41st Avenue, 5:30 p.m.

July 26:

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested on the 1800 block of 41st Avenue at 2:10 p.m.

Hit and Run with Property Damage: 900 block, Columbus Drive, 2:50 p.m.

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested on the Esplanade at 11:17 p.m. 

Battery: 1900 block, Courtyard Drive, 1:26 p.m.

July 25:

Grant Theft over $950: Aaron Kyle Chavis was arrested for stealing a laptop from Best Buy in Soquel at 12:59 p.m.

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested at Capitola Avenue and Bay Avenue at 12:52 a.m.

Drunk in Public: A male was arrested on the 4600 block of Capitola Road at 10:51 p.m.

Battery/Resisting Arrest: Jacqueline Cooksey, 45, of Capitola, was arrested on the 1900 block of Courtyard Drive at 11:55 p.m.
