Here are highlights for the week in crime reports from the Capitola Police Department.

Friday, Dec. 2

5:32 p.m.—A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Sears at the Capitola Mall.

Saturday, Dec. 3

9:34 p.m.—A man was arrested for grand theft in the 4000 block of Capitola Road.

11:35 p.m.—Police responded to calls of a disturbance on the 1800 block of 41st Avenue. Two men were arrested for being drunk in public.

Sunday, Dec. 5

4:21 a.m.—Vandalism was reported on the 300 block of Plum Street.

10:01 a.m.—A garage-door remote was reported stolen from someone's vehicle on the 900 block of Capitola Avenue.

11:30 a.m.—A storage shed was reported broken into and items were stolen on the 4300 block of Diamond Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 7

5:18 a.m.—A suspect smashed the right-front window on the passenger side of a car parked on the 800 block of Balboa Avenue in an attempt to break into it. The suspect was scared off by the victim.

5:13 p.m.—A victim reported more than $400 worth of valuables stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Cabrillo Street.

Wednesday, Dec. 8

8:37 p.m.—Two women were cited for petty theft and released on the 1700 block of 41st Avenue.
