Police Blotter: Shots Fired, Indecent Exposure and Petty Theft

An array of reports of crime came in the past week.

March 27:
Indecent Exposure: Police responded to an incident on the 1000 block of 38th Avenue at 6:50 p.m.

March 26:
Willful Discharge of a Firearm in a Negligent Manner: Joel Ruiz and Brandon Alvarez Garcia reportedly crashed a party at 165 Sun Crest Drive in Soquel. Police said they pointed a gun at several people in the house while yelling, "Westside." The gun was then fired into the air.

When Ruiz and Garcia attempted to flee, they were arrested and transported to jail.

March 25: 
Petty Theft: 700 block of Bay Avenue at 3:56 p.m.

March 24:
Commercial Burglary: lost change and cash to unknown suspects.

March 23: 
Petty Theft: Two people were arrested on the 1800 block of 41st Avenue on suspicion of shoplifting at the Capitola Mall. 

March 22:
Petty Theft: 800 block of Bay Avenue at 2 p.m.

March 21:
was arrested on suspicion of violating a judge's orders that allowed him to be released from jail.
