Pinned Tractor Victim was Watsonville Resident

David Pini was found dead under a tractor in the Soquel hills on Monday evening.

The man who was found has been identified as David Pini, 59, of Watsonville, sheriff's deputy April Skalland has told Patch.

It appears Pini was using the tractor at a home on the 200 block of Little Creek Road when it slid down a steep dirt embankment, trapping Pini underneath.

Little else is known about the incident, including when exactly it happened. Pini's body was found around 6 p.m. on Monday evening, and according to sheriff's Sgt. Christine Swannack, his death appeared accidental.
