Man Sentenced To 1 Year, 3 Months in Jail for Leading Police on on Chase in Stolen Car

Jeremy Richard Adams led cops on a chase through Capitola and Soquel at speeds of up to 60 mph.

Last November, Jeremy Richard Adams led Santa Cruz County Sheriffs on a winding car chase, driving on speeds of up to 60 mph in a stolen Toyota Pickup through Soquel and Capitola. 

When the truck – stolen from a Capitola tow yard – ran out of gas, he made a failed attempt to flee on foot.

Adams’ actions landed him in jail for one year and three months, Santa Cruz County Judge Adriadne Symons stated Wednesday.

He has also been ordered to enter a residential drug program for a minimum of three months when he is released from jail. Additionally, Adams must pay restitution to the tow yard as part of his sentence.
