The Capitola Police Department has launched its official Facebook page.

The Capitola Police Department is getting hip to the times with it's just-released Facebook page. On the site, the PD has started issuing alerts and sharing stories important to Capitola and its residents.

As time passes and more followers latch on, the PD will use the site to interact with other local agencies like the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office on things like the weekly most-wanted list, according to Chief Rudy Escalante.
