Did you know that at last week's City Council meeting, the Capitola Police Department named its employee of the year and officer of the year?

The employee of the year was Tracie Hernandez, and the officer of the year was Andrew Dally. Hernandez works in records and will soon be the interim records supervisor. Dally, who has been with the Capitola PD for 11 years, was recently promoted to sergeant.
