Aptos Man Suffers Major Injuries in Crash with State Parks Truck

The 21-year-old was taken to Dominican Hospital after a collision on Bonny Doon Road.

An Aptos man was driven by ground ambulance to Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz Thursday morning to treat what CHP reports are referring to as "major" injuries.

The man, 21, was driving his 1992 Honda Civic westbound on Bonny Doon Road at 11:50 a.m. when he lost control on the wet road, crossed into the opposite lane and hit a California State Parks Truck head-on.

The truck was driven by a 56-year-old state employee from Boulder Creek, CHP Officer Bradley Sadek said.
