Soquel School District Board Vacancy

The Soquel Union Elementary School District is seeking candidates for a position on the school board.  The position is vacant due to the resignation of Trustee Lynette Hamby.  

The Board of Trustees plans to appoint a new member who will serve out until the next scheduled election.  The next regularly scheduled board election is November 4, 2014.  Interested individuals may call the Soquel Union Elementary School District Office at (831) 464-5639 to request an application.  The application deadline is Friday, November 8, 2013, at 5:00 p.m.     

Applicants must be 18 years or older, a district resident and a registered voter.  The District will confirm this information.  The Board will interview candidates at an open session public board meeting on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.  After the interviews and during the meeting, the Board is expected to appoint the Board member.
