Gangsta Found A Home!

I was sent up here from Manteca. When I arrived it was determined that I was unadoptable due to age, medical problems and my looks. My future looked grim.

Hi, I’m O.G., (short for Original Gangsta.) I’m thirteen years old, missing quite a few teeth and have Glaucoma in my right eye. I was sent up here (Santa Cruz) from Manteca in the hope that someone here would adopt me. When I arrived it was determined that I was unadoptable due to my age, medical problems and let’s face it, my looks. I was sent back to Manteca and my future looked grim. Kelly Luker, the owner of Little Pup Lodge, has been fostering older dogs for years and has recently begun to have a hospice dog as well. When she heard of my plight, she called the SPCA and sight unseen had them bring me back to Santa Cruz where she adopted me.

My Favorite Pet Sitting Service

Now I have a wonderful home. Kelly owns Little Pup Lodge, where she provides pet sitting and dog boarding exclusively for little dogs. The great thing about this is she doesn’t use any kennels, this is dog boarding kennel free. I and all of her guests get full run of the house plus lots of dog walks and fun trips to the beachs and parks around Santa Cruz.

Sometimes she even takes us all to Carmel to play on their wonderful beach!!!!! Nickie is Kelly’s tenant and has her own pet sitting business as well. Her pet sitting business is different from Kelly’s. She does dog walking and in home pet sitting as well. The cool thing here is that I get to go with her on lots of her in home pet sitting and dog walking jobs. I LOVE it all!

When I arrived, Kelly was out of town so Nickie picked me up. Both she and Kelly thought I was going to be a Chihuahua until they saw me, then they didn’t know what to think! I was covered in fleas and flea dirt and my coat was all matted. Nickie brought me home and gave me a bath, dinner, love and a warm place to sleep, (her bed.) When Kelly got home she took me to the groomer and look how I came back!!!
Here are my before and after pictures:

Turns out I’m a very cute and sweet five pound Maltese. All I’ve ever asked for is a home with a warm lap, good food, lots of car rides and a warm bed, (preferably with a human in it.) I get all of this and more at Little Pup Lodge. I have a wonderful mom and a wonderful auntie too. I sure am a lucky boy!
