June is getting on its good bye shoes!

Here it is the end of June already!  I borrowed the words from a Carrie Underwood song for my titile of this blog post.  My last entry was on June 5th. Thinking of topics about what to write in a blog is harder than I thought. I don't want to bore you. Why would you be interested in what I have to say or what I do? Ahhh, the dilemma of a writer....or should I say the insecurity?

Well, I will just have to assume you are interested and not worry so much. Today, I finished putting together a claim form for Unclaimed Property in California and mailed it off. Has anyone else ever done this?  The State Controller's office has a website with a database, so anyone can search for their name to see if they have any money owed to them. Maybe some old deposits from phone or utility companies you never collected?  It's worth a search at least. Be sure to try different spellings of your name as sometimes they are listed misspelled if you have an unusual spelling of your name. It is worth it to close out old accounts and you might end up with a little extra pockey money! Just google "unclaimed property in California" or something similar, and you will find the State Controller's website page with all the information.  Good luck!
