Please join us for the Second Annual Santa Cruz Edible Gardens Tour!
Hosted by Slow Food Santa Cruz, please join us to tour the beautiful gardens of Santa Cruz County on August 24, 2013!
Last year hundreds of local garden enthusiasts got a glimpse in to the
edible landscapes of the Santa Cruz. This year we are proud to host
more than 15 home and public vegetable gardens of all styles.
From
wild
to elegant there will be fresh inspiration for everyone. Tour
participants will find a unique experience at each residence, including
kids activities, book readings, chickens advice, organic tips and plant
giveaways.
Our public sites explore the nourishing side of gardening,
highlighting restaurants that grow food and also nonprofits using
gardens for healing. This is a chance to see what your neighbors are up
to and share your own garden tips.
The tour is "open studio"
style and is split up into two time blocks:
- 9:30am-12:30pm for Westside
Gardens - 1-5pm for Eastside and Midtown Gardens
Your tour map will arrive via email in the week leading up to August 24th.
