RIVER CAFÉ BENEFIT DINNER FOR TEEN KITCHEN PROJECT

River Café  will host a benefit dinner for Teen Kitchen Project on Saturday, May 17, 2014. All ingredients for this four-course meal will be locally sourced and prepared by River Café together with Teen Kitchen chefs. Come enjoy an evening under the stars in downtown Santa Cruz, with live music by Freedom Fighta Sound. Buy tickets at River Café or online at http://preserve.bpt.me.

Founded in 2012, Teen Kitchen Project brings young people into the kitchen to learn to cook delicious and nourishing food. The meals they prepare are delivered free of charge to individuals and families who are in crisis due to a life-threatening illness like cancer. To date, local youth of ages 13 to 18 have volunteered more than 1,600 hours and the organization has served over 11,000 meals to 64 individuals and their families! Teen Kitchen Project has achieved this remarkable success in such a short time through the outstanding support and generosity of individuals, organizations and businesses in the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area communities.

Teen Kitchen Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the umbrella of the Boomerang Foundation.  www.teenkitchenproject.org
