Soquel Girl Scouts Present Check to Santa Cruz SPCA
Troop 11017 gave the Santa Cruz SPCA a check for $100 on Friday.
Soquel's Girl Scout Troop 11017 presented the Santa Cruz SPCA with a $100 check on Friday, representing 10 percent of its cookie sales from January to March of this year.
The troop, which was formed in 2010 by a group of girls and two moms at Soquel Elementary School, voted together to donate the proceeds to the SPCA over other charities.
Some of the remaining 90 percent of sales will be put toward a trip to the Gilroy Aquatic Center.
