There was two small earthquake that made waves on the Richter scale around Santa Cruz County this week, the largest of which was a 1.5 offshore on Friday. A handful of medium-sized earthquakes also hit just outside of the county, close to Morgan Hill and San Juan Bautista.
Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, no one reported feeling either earthquake this week on the U.S. Geological Survey website.
