Two small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around Santa Cruz County this week, with the largest measured at 2.1 near Watsonville.
Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, no one reported feeling either earthquake on the U.S. Geological Survey website. However, two people in Santa Cruz did report feeling a 2.1 on Thursday evening near Pinnacles, southeast of Monterey.
