Earthquake Recap: Two Rumbles Around County

Did you feel either earthquake this week?

Two small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around Santa Cruz County this week, with the largest measured at 2.1, seven miles ENE of Scotts Valley.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, seven reported feeling the 2.1 earthquake on the U.S. Geological Survey website, including one in Scotts Valley and one in Felton.
