Earthquake Recap: Three Small Shakes Near South County

Did you feel any of the earthquakes around Santa Cruz County this week?

Three small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale in and around southern Santa Cruz County this week, hitting with Magnitudes of just 1.9, 1.7 and 1.4.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, five people reported feeling the 1.9 on U.S. Geological Survey website, including one person from Santa Cruz.
