Three small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale in and around Santa Cruz County this week, and a 3.3 shook near Morgan Hill that was felt here on the coast.
Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Sunday evening, 30 people reported feeling the 3.3 in Santa Cruz County this week on the U.S. Geological Survey website, including two in Aptos, one in Boulder Creek, two in Felton, 13 in Santa Cruz, seven in Scotts Valley, three in Soquel and two in Watsonville.
