Earthquake Recap: Six Trembles Surround County

Did you feel any of the earthquakes this week?

Six small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around the borders of Santa Cruz County this week, with the largest measured at 3.0 near San Juan Bautista, which was followed by two aftershocks (2.3 and 2.5).

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Sunday morning, 12 people reported feeling the 3.0, on the U.S. Geological Survey website.
