Earthquake Recap: Five Shakes Around County Borders

Did you feel any of the earthquakes around the county this week?

Five small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale in and around Santa Cruz County this week, with the largest measured at just 1.5, southeast of Watsonville.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Saturday evening, no one reported feeling any of the earthquakes in Santa Cruz County this week on the U.S. Geological Survey website.
