New Restaurant Opens In Former Britannia Arms Location
Kauboi, a Japanese grill and sushi bar, is now open on Soquel Drive in Aptos.
A new Japanese restaurant made a low-key debut earlier this month on Soquel Drive in Aptos.
Kauboi opened in the longtime location of Britannia Arms, between Spreckels Drive and the entrance to the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park.
The eatery's menu features grilled fish including ahi and salmon, and sushi rolls. It prides itself on using sustainable fish, hormone free meats and local produce in its dishes.
The restaurant is open "5 p.m. to late" daily.

The Britannia Arms closed in November 2012. The Britannia Arms location in Capitola Village and four others in San Jose remain open.
